Terms of use
As of 31 August 2026
If this translation conflicts with the German version, the German text prevails.
Scope
These terms of use apply to the platform classicguide.ch (ClassicGuide). The operator is the person or business named in the Imprint. Using the platform requires acceptance of these terms.
Service
ClassicGuide provides the technical platform on which listings for Oldtimer and Youngtimer can be published. Editorial content such as buying advice, checklists and value estimates is a non-binding assessment and not individual advice.
ClassicGuide is not a party to the purchase contracts between advertisers and prospective buyers and does not warrant the details in listings.
Account
- Account details must be truthful.
- At registration you choose an account type: private individual or dealer. The account type is binding and you cannot change it yourself.
- Anyone who registers as a dealer lists on a commercial basis and must truthfully state the company name, business address and, where it exists, the UID (enterprise identification number).
- Private individuals may not present themselves as dealers, nor dealers as private individuals.
- Access details must be kept secret.
- The account is not transferable.
- An account can be deleted at any time in the profile.
Listings
- Only vehicles that are actually for sale, and that the advertiser is entitled to dispose of, may be listed.
- Details in the listing must be truthful.
- The advertiser holds the rights to texts and photographs and grants ClassicGuide the right to use them for display on the platform.
- Third-party brand logos and photographs by others are not permitted.
- Publication takes place only after review.
- ClassicGuide may reject, have edited, block or remove listings without stating reasons.
- An active listing stays online during the free launch phase until the advertiser marks it as sold, deletes it, or ClassicGuide blocks it. There is currently no fixed term.
Charges
During the launch phase, listing is free. Future paid offers will be set out transparently in advance and do not apply retroactively.
Responsibility and liability
The respective advertiser is responsible for the content of listings. ClassicGuide's liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law, in particular for the accuracy of listing details and for market-value estimates.
Privacy
The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy policy. That includes technical log data and, only with your consent, reach measurement via Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager. You can change your consent at any time in the privacy policy; use of the platform is unaffected.
Changes
ClassicGuide may amend these terms with effect for the future. The version published on the platform is the one that applies.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Zurich, subject to mandatory consumer rights.
